Text Box: Flavors of blueberry, licorice, and bacon are highlighted with nuances of roast beef, peppercorn and star anise in this single-vineyard syrah from the calcareous soils and wind-kissed evenings of Templeton Gap in Paso Robles.

Jimmy’s Vineyard, aka Doce Robles, is located on Highway 46 West in the cool, windy Templeton Gap corridor.
Owner Jim Jacobsen comes from three generations of California ranchers and farmers, and he knows his stuff. His fruit always qualifies as a premium level wine club selection. Jimmy frequently stops by Dover Canyon to shoot the breeze with Dover Dan—you’ll know Jim by his wide-open smile and gravelly laugh.

A long, cool vintage produced a wine of exceptionally rich character and unique vineyard expression. This wine was produced using small open top fermentation with Rhône-style yeast, and aged for sixteen months sur lies in new French oak.
