Text Box: Aromas of black cherry, plum and pepper lead into deep flavors of black raspberries, kirsch and licorice in this rich, expressive release from our young, dryfarmed, headpruned vineyard.

Our estate vineyard, Tre Noce, is planted to dryfarmed, headpruned zinfandel and stress-irrigated syrah. The vineyard is planted on steep slopes in the calcareous soils of west Paso Robles, and sustainably farmed by hand.
Both the zinfandel and syrah portions produced just under 2 tons per acre in 2006. The vineyard is named for three English walnut trees that remain in the vineyard from the original El Paso de la Robles rancho plantings.

Only 6 barrels produced.

2005 Tre Noce
“Tre Noce is the latest offering from Dover Canyon, an amazing small winery in Paso Robles. The syrah is blended with some of the best hand-farmed zinfandel around. With hints of black pepper and deep jam, the depth of flavor in this wine is spectacular; your taste buds will be in nirvana with this one. Dover Canyon has never let me down and the Tre Noce is no exception.”

—Chris Cognac, host of the Food Network show, “The Hungry Detective”

Suggested food pairings ~  Grilled tritip in a Zinfandel and black pepper marinade, with a “roasted salsa” of grilled garlic, fennel, chiles, heirloom tomatoes and sweet onions.  Serve with Gorgonzola mashed potatoes and a salad tossed with raspberries and toasted pine nuts.
