Text Box: Aromas of plum, pastry, and game lead into flavors of bright summer plums, cola and woodsy, forested undertones. This is a complex and layered wine with soft tannins, and therefore an excellent selection for food pairing.

Alto Pomar is a tiny, sustainably-farmed vineyard known for its bright fruit and intense flavor. The name means ‘high orchard’ and its elevated location on a shelf above Templeton ensures that the vineyard consistently produces crisp, food-friendly fruit.

The grapes were fermented in large open top fermentors with Rhone-isolate yeast, and punched down by hand. The wine was then aged for eighteen months in neutral French oak to integrate the fruit and forest components..

Only 6 barrels produced.
