Text Box: Bright and explosive aromas of cherry and blueberry, with undertones of game and earth beckon us into layers of fruit ranging from strawberry to blackberry in this complex, earthy blend of sangiovese, cabernet and syrah.

The name, “Che vita da cane,” is Italian for “It’s a dog’s life,” which is a perfect description for both our bucolic wine farm lifestyle and that of our current mascot, springer spaniel Rebel Rose. For the story behind the label and the legend of Blue, visit our About Us page. In the meantime, you should learn how to pronounce this label properly.
To pronounce, one must raise one's dominant hand to the level of your dominant eye, touch thumbpad to fingertips, and beat time with your arm, while loudly proclaiming, "Keh VEETa dah KAHN-ay!" three times.
The fruit was a select pick with full flavor development and toasty seeds. The grapes were fermented in small open tops and punched down by hand. The resulting smooth, gentle tannins and natural complexity are augmented by sixteen months in neutral French and American oak.

Only 5 barrels produced.
