Text Box: The 2006 ‘Bone Lore’ is a triple entendre. The name ’Bone Lore’ means the ‘story of the bone.’ It refers to three things—our series of art wine labels which feature a thirsty St. Bernard on the reds, and to the fossil-rich calcareous soils of Paso Robles, and it is also an oblique homage to the Rhone, from whose loins the mighty Rhone wines of Paso Robles have sprung. A rich expression of Paso Robles terroir, Bone Lore features deep plum, smoke, cherry-chocolate, and peppercorn flavors. This unique blend was chosen from the most terroir-driven barrels of the 2006 vintage, and from the complex Miocene era soils of the El Pomar region in Paso Robles. Aged sur lies for eighteen months in neutral French oak. Unfined and unfiltered. Only 6 barrels produced.
