Text Box: Jimmy’s Vineyard, aka Doce Robles, is located on Highway 46 West in the cool, windy Templeton Gap corridor.
Owner Jim Jacobsen comes from three generations of California ranchers and farmers, and he knows his stuff. His fruit always qualifies as a premium level wine club selection. Jimmy frequently stops by Dover Canyon to shoot the breeze with Dover Dan—you’ll know Jim by his wide open smile and gravelly laugh.

The Jimmy’s Vineyard syrah has classic aromas of blueberry, spice and smoke. Flavors of blueberry, licorice, and bacon are highlighted with nuances of roast beef, peppercorn and star anise. Crisp acidity from this cool, breezy vineyard contributes to longevity, making this syrah a promising candidate for cellaring.

The wine was produced using small open top fermentation with Rhône-style yeast, and aged for sixteen months in new French oak. Bottled unfined.

Only 4 barrels produced.
