1997 Rhone Reserve (white)

“This attractive wine is a blend of 75% Vionier and 25% Roussanne.  This honeyed wine is richly fruity, thickly-textured, and offers a mouthful of fruit.  Serve it with strongly flavored fish or chicken dishes or grilled vegetables, etc. “

1996 Menage

“Readers looking for a Bordeaux-styled offering should check out Dover Canyon's 1996 Menage. This unfiltered blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, and 21% Cabernet Franc is an elegant effort, particularly from Paso Robles. A dark plum color is followed by aromas of berry fruit, underbrush, smoke, and spice. With silky tannin and a round, attractive personality, it will drink well over the next 7-8 years.”

1999 Roussanne, Chequera Vineyard

“The opulently-textured as well as fragrant 1999 Roussanne Chequera Vineyard reveals scents of rose petals and apricots in its heady, intoxicating perfume.  This exotic, medium to full-bodied, low acid, tasty Roussanne should be consumed over the next two years.”

1998 Roussanne, Chequera Vineyard

“The 1998 Roussanne Chequera Vineyard exhibits a citrusy, honeysuckle-scented nose, medium body, good underlying acidity, and plenty of fruit.   Reminiscent of a Mediterranean-styled wine, it is meant to be consumed over the next year.”
