Delayed shipping

 

We are happy to accommodate your request to hold shipments at the winery for later delivery due to unfavorable weather or other conditions.. 

 

Please be advised:

 

· Our customer storage space is limited to 10-15 cases of wine.  Once that space is filled, we cannot accept further hold requests.

 

· We do not charge for storage.

 

· All shipments must be paid for at the time of ordering.

 

· Orders must be shipped or picked up within 60 days.

 

Wine club pickups and requests

 

· Wine club shipments may be delayed for shipment or picked up at the winery for 60 days after commencement of a wine club release. 

 

· Wines not delivered or picked up by the deadline will be returned to inventory, and a credit issued.

 

· We try to accommodate all special requests as they are received during release shipments, however special requests made during release shipments may move your shipment to the end of the shipping queue, and you may receive your selection later than anticipated.  To avoid this, please relay any special handling requests, specific shipping dates, etc. to us in writing before we commence shipping.

 

· Wine club selections are shipped in this order:   Gold, Silver, Rhone to the Bone, Charter, Special Handling. 

 

· Special Handling requests are those involving required tax collection and reporting, special labeling, specific carrier requests, advance notification, etc. 

 

· We try very hard to accommodate every request for shipment on or after a specific date. Please be advised, however, that specific date delivery may involve an extra fee.

 

Notes on shipping

 

· We charge less for shipping than the cost of our carrier service and shipping supplies, in an effort to belay the costs of shipping for our customers.  

 

· An adult must be available to sign for alcohol!  Please be sure to notify us in advance of any changes or corrections to your shipping address.  The best way to do this is via email, read receipt requested. 

 

· There is a re-delivery charge of $10-30 depending on weight and destination.  If your order was returned due to incomplete address, lack of signature, or refusal, we will be happy to re-ship your order.  We will repack your order with new wines, in case the return shipment has been heat damaged.

 

· If your order has been damaged by the carrier in any way, please notify us immediately.

 

· Out-of-state orders are only shipped on Mondays, in order to avoid having the wines sit in warehouses with uncontrolled temperature over a weekend.

 

· We do, according to weather, often release packages on a Friday.  Friday deliveries leave at 4 pm for San Luis Obispo, which is a cool area, and the outgoing trucks are packed at 3 a.m on Monday, ensuring that your package will begin its journey in a cool truck from a cool area.

 

· Most packages are shipped via UPS Ground.  Hawaii and Alaska orders are shipped via FedEx.  You may request delivery by FedEx, FedEx Ground, or Golden State Overnight. 

 

· We provide tracking information to every customer that supplies a email address or fax number.
